What is Moodle @ Celtic Knot?

Moodle @ Celtic Knot  is where you can access our course manuals and other resources from our training programmes, as well as online tools such as discussion forums and quizzes.

Access is free to our course participants. A one-off fee is charged to others.

Moodle itself is an open-source virtual learning enrironment. It stands for Modular Object Oriented Distant Learning Environment. You can find out about Moodle at moodle.org

Registration

If you have not previously registered, you will be invited to register online. You will create a unique username and password, and will be sent an email to confirm registration. 

On the first occasion only that you access any course you will also need the enrolment key that will have been provided to you.

You will only be able to access materials and online tools from courses for which you are registered. 

Terms and Conditions

(a) Data Protection

When you register, your profile, including your email address, will be visible to others enrolled on the same course. It will not be visible to anyone else. You must edit your profile to hide your email address if you do not want others on your course to see it.

Your details may be used for the purposes of running our training programmes. This includes emailing course participants, facilitating online discussion forums and delivering online training exercises.If you do not want to receive details about future courses in this way, you can unenroll yourself at any time. Moodle will monitor your activity on the site.

We will not pass on your details to other people or organisations without your consent, except in exceptional circumstances relating to money laundering, suspected terrorism, and the protection of children or vulnerable adults, and explained in more detail in our practice's confidentiality policy.

Although our courses are updated from time to time, you are viewing an archived document. You understand that:
